It’s been pretty quiet around here in the past weeks because we’ve been very busy with real world adult concerns. Haha.
We moved to somewhere closer to the ocean! The Philippines is an archipelago of more than 7000(!) islands so I was never too far from the water while growing up. That’s one of the things that I missed when we were in Nepal. I loved staring out at the Himalayas too, but I’ll always be a tropical island girl through and through.
And coming from the winter of dusty Kathmandu, the bright sunny skies are a welcome treat!
We’re still trying to get a feel of the place and we’re at the stage where everything is new and exciting. When you’re out of your comfort zone, doing something as simple as riding the bus is scary and exhilarating at the same time. We definitely have fun times ahead of us!
And we’re neither in the Philippines nor in Nepal, so it’s an entirely different form of adjustment that we both have to do, when neither of us has the upper hand, so to speak.
There’s still much about life in Nepal that’s left unwritten, but I hope you’ll join us in this new big adventure!
